Longtime UFC octagon girl Brittney Palmer decides to retire as she laid down her shorts during the 2023 World MMA Awards at the Sahara Theater. Saturday’s UFC 296 event at T-Mobile Arena will be the last time Palmer works as the octagon girl and will end her 12-year tenure with the top MMA promotion.
“Thank you everyone,” Palmer said during the 2023 World MMA Awards. “I truly am honored to accept this award. Thank you to the UFC. Fighter’s Only, and all the fans who voted for me. Well, there’s no better time to say it. But after 16 years with UFC, I’ve decided to retire. This weekend will be my last event, and I’m so, absolutely grateful for this unforgettable experience.”

Palmer wins Ring card Girl of the Year Award for the fourth time
Palmer won the Ringcard Girl of the Year award at the 13th Annual World MMA Awards last year. This marked the fourth time she has won the award. She had also won the award in 2012, 2013, 2019.

On April 19, 2011, Palmer appeared on YouTube opposite model Jo Garcia, in a Mortal Kombat themed video.
Palmer got a breakthrough when she made her debut at UFC 125 in 2011. She soon garnered popularity and became one of the two most recognizable faces as the octagon girls. Many of you might also be unaware that Palmer is an artist and philanthropist. Palmer has raised over a whooping sum of $100,000 for charity by selling her artwork.
