UFC on ESPN 1 card this weekend will feature an absolute barn burner as former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will make his much anticipated return after almost three years to take on former title challenger #2 ranked Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou.
Ngannou in his last fight, was successful to leave behind the aftermath of his title loss against former cgamp Stipe Miocic. It took Ngannou only 45 seconds to absolutely flatline a surging Curtis Blaydes. Ngannou is expected to showcase the same brutal strength against Velasquez.
Recently, UFC President Dana White compared Ngannou’s power to being hit by a Ford Escort. Velasquez speaking with MMAFighting.com, made fun of White’s comment. (via Twitter):
.@cainmma isn't impressed with Dana White comparing Francis Ngannou's punching power to getting hit by a Ford Escort… 👀👀

”Ford Escorts suck,” Velasquez said. “They’re weak. Weak ass Ford Escort. Is that the best [White] could come up with? He said ‘Ford Escort, that’s it. That’s the one.’”
When asked which car he’d use to describe his power, Velasquez said, “I dunno, it’d be better than that,” he said. “Anything would be better than that. They don’t even make Ford Escorts any more, do they? It should offend Francis, not me. I wasn’t called a Ford Escort.”
Ngannou also holds the record for the most hardest punch ever thrown. In a research performed at UFC’s Performance Institute, Ngannou threw a punch which recorded power of just over 129,000 units.
