Looking at Chaitanya Gavali today, it is hard to believe there was a time in his life when he was bullied. It was only when he started training for mixed martial arts that he discovered a new side to his personality.

Chaitanya Gavali started his fitness journey with the intent of losing weight. He joined Evolution Combat Sports & Fitness, located in Khar, back in 2011. He weighed around 95 Kilos at the start and brought his weight down to around 60 Kilos.

His career as an MMA fighter has taken him to China, Malaysia, Japan and Iran. He has also won two world titles in Malaysia back in 2015. His ambition is to represent India in the Ultimate Fighting Championships which is the top MMA promotion in the world. Chaitanya Gavali feels MMA has given him discipline and a sense of purpose in life. He is so committed that he has missed even birthdays and weddings because of training. “If training is there, a fighter needs to be present at the training. That discipline he needs to follow. If h emisses the training he is not loyal to the training and he doesn’t deserve to be a fighter or a champion.”

The MMA India Show wishes Chaitanya Gavali all the best for his future fights and endeavours. We are eagerly looking forwards to Chaitanya ” Dangerou” Gavali return to the cage.
