Champ Carlston Harris admits next contender will come out of Brave 10

Two pivotal Welterweight bouts are sure to be one of Brave 10’s biggest hits. Both David Bear x Jarrah Al-Silawi and Mohammad Fakhreddine x Tahar Hadbi 2 are on the main card of Brave Combat Federation’s first-ever Jordan show, set for Amman, on March 2nd. And divisional champion Carlston Harris admits the winners of those fights are in pole position to challenge for his belt.

Harris won the inaugural Welterweight champion with a dominant performance over Carl Booth back at Brave 8 and feels it will take a similar win to guarantee to one of his contenders a shot at the title.

“Initially, I would say Al-Silawi gets the first shot at my belt if he wins. However, I think that if the winner of the rematch between Fakhreddine and Hadbi is able to have a dominant and memorable performance and Jarrah’s win isn’t all that impressive, then maybe they can skip the line”, believes the Guyanese fighter, currently treating an injury.

With that said, Carlston believes Al-Silawi is favorite over Bear, while he sees a case for both fighters coming out victorious in the anticipated rematch.

“I think Al-Silawi has shown he can stick to a gameplan. Especially against Booth he was very disciplined in his approach and I think he will win. The rematch is a different story. Fakhreddine has heavy hands, but he has shown he gets tired. If it goes past the first round, I think the advantage is all on Hadbi’s court, but Fakhreddine is more dangerous in the opening five minutes”, claims Harris.

Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises marks the promotion’s first show in Jordan, home to some of Brave’s most decorated fighters, and the seventh country to host a Brave Combat Federation event, after Bahrain, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, and Mexico.
