Chandler wants 4-way tournament for the lightweight championship

I am excited to be part of the UFC lightweight division right now at the top when there is no UFC lightweight champion. We will see what’s next, Chandler said.

You know I did Tony Ferguson’s name and we are talking about January. However, we have Justin Gaethje in here talking about eight weeks from tonight to fight for a title.

“I am not gonna come in and say that. ‘Hey guys, I deserve a title shot.’ I would love my name to be thrown into the mix. I would love the opportunity to fight. A four-man tournament for the title, there are all kinds of different things that UFC can do, he added.

It will be interesting to see what lies ahead for the UFC’s lightweight division. However, it’s hard not to agree with Michael Chandler. Looking at the current situation, a four-man tournament seems to be the perfect way to determine the next title challengers.
