Charles Oliveira believes Conor McGregor won’t fight in the UFC again.

Conor McGregor has just returned from his visit to The White House in Washington D.C. Nearly four years after his last UFC fight with Dustin Poirier, he marked St. Patrick’s Day by spending time with Donald Trump in the Oval Office. Following his meeting with the President, the former champion in two weight classes launched a tirade against Michael Martin, Ireland’s unofficial Prime Minister. These remarks are unsurprising, particularly considering McGregor’s ongoing hints about potentially entering the political arena.

Conor McGregor has just returned from his visit to the White House in Washington D.C. Almost four years after his last UFC match against Dustin Poirier, he celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by spending time with Donald Trump in the Oval Office. After his discussion with the President, the former champion in two weight classes unleashed a verbal assault on Michael Martin, Ireland’s de facto Prime Minister. These comments are to be expected, especially given McGregor’s ongoing suggestions about possibly venturing into politics.

Naturally, the whole event led to fan speculation on whether the 36-year-old would compete again. Conor McGregor was famously set to return to the octagon last summer against Michael Chandler but withdrew due to a broken toe. Despite asking to re-book the contest for December, ‘Iron’ instead moved on to fight Charles Oliveira. Earlier this year, UFC CEO Dana White stated that McGregor would likely fight in the fall.

Charles Oliveira, though, doesn’t believe any of that rhetoric. “Do Bronx” talked about his career and future goals in a recent interview with Oddspedia. The former UFC lightweight champion was questioned about facing Conor McGregor during the conversation. The two have previously discussed meeting in the octagon on multiple occasions, despite the fact that they were never scheduled to fight.

Following his recent visit to the White House, Charles Oliveira denies rumors that Conor McGregor would return to the UFC

But “Do Bronx” isn’t crazy about taking on “The Notorious” anytime soon. Charles Oliveira mostly dismissed the notion that Conor McGregor will fight again during the conversation. The Brazilian believes that no one can stop the former UFC champion from living his life the way he desires. Oliveira is simply sick of hearing about him at this point.

“To be honest, I don’t know why people are still talking about Conor McGregor.” Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira stated to Oddspedia. “He’s done everything he wanted to do in the sport and now he chooses to live his life the way he’s living it.”

He continued, “We’ve been waiting for his return and Michael Chandler has been waiting for about two years and he hasn’t shown up. I think fans should forget about Conor McGregor’s return, he’s not going to fight again.”
