In a recent UFC event, fighter Chris Curtis made headlines not just for his performance inside the octagon but also for his choice of walkout music. The MMA community was left puzzled when Curtis walked to the cage with Sean “Diddy” Combs’ track “Bad Boy For Life.” While the song itself is iconic, it was the timing and context that raised eyebrows.
Chris Curtis, known for his heart, grit, and determination, faced Brendan Allen in the main event of UFC Vegas 90. As he made his way to the octagon, the familiar beats of Diddy’s hit blared through the arena. But why would Chris Curtis choose a song that seemed out of place?
The answer lies in an unexpected twist. Curtis had initially planned to walk out to “The Rumbling” by Stim, but UFC executives rejected his choice. Frustrated, Curtis decided to take matters into his own hands. He thought, “There is no way they’ll approve Diddy’s track,” but he was wrong. The controversial song got the green light, and Curtis found himself striding to the cage with the rap mogul’s anthem.
The controversy surrounding Diddy stems from an ongoing investigation into allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking. Authorities recently raided Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes, linking him to these serious charges. Given this context, Curtis’ walkout choice was ill-timed, to say the least.

I was low-key kinda pissed, so I went with Diddy thinking, ‘There is no way they’ll approve this then…,’ but I’m petty and a smart ass. The jokes on me, they definitely approved it, so we just went with it. Diddy is terrible, but it was kinda hilarious. I’ll do better in the future.”
