Everybody who follows MMA knows Colby Covington’s recent hatred towards UFC which is due to the fact that UFC made Kamaru Usman fight Tyron Woodley before Colby.
Colby is so frustrated with UFC that he even made comments that he will leave the UFC to fight in other organisation which was misconstructed by many and many thought he wants to fight Rory MacDonald.
Recently Colby appeared on the BJ Penn Radio and shoots down rumours that he wants super fight against Bellator Champ Rory MacDonald.
“I never said I’d go fight Rory in Bellator, I just said there’s some other fights out there and other organizations where there are big fights and I can go get them. I never named names.”
“I wish I could talk to Bellator but I can’t do that. I am under UFC contract, I would never breach my contract. I am the true professional. I did everything UFC asked, always f**king made weight, always on time at their events, flew all over the world, went to Australia, their show, sold it. Went to Singapore, went to Brazil, went to wherever they wanted me to go. I did everything, I’m an ultra-professional. And as a professional, I wouldn’t breach my contract.“
Calling UFC bad, he said, “There’s a lot of opportunities out there you know, in other organizations. You got good things coming together. It’s a good time for MMA because now people can realize it’s not just UFC. UFC tries to threaten you and make you think that there’s no other option, there’s nowhere else to go, they’re the end-all, they’re the biggest, baddest dudes in town, but that’s not how it is man.“
