Conor and Khabib have to be pulled apart during the weigh-ins

Oh boy! The bad blood between the current UFC lightweight champion Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov and former two division champion (featherweight and lightweight) “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. Once friends, they are now rivals and enemies. While they did have a rivalry earlier, things got much more personal and hateful back in April when McGregor with around 30 Irish people stormed into the Barclays centre and attacked the bus Nurmagomedov was travelling in, even throwing a dolly at the bus’ window, after the latter had slapped McGregor’s best friend and training partner, Artem “The Russian Hammer” Lobov, who happens to be Khabib’s fellow countryman. The two have already dissed each other a lot in the pressers and open workouts. Their animosity has grown so much that the two almost got into a scuffle and had to be separated at last night’s post-weigh in face-off’s.

Nurmagomedov is still unbeaten as a professional fighter and has arguably not even lost a single round yet. While McGregor is a global superstar and the first fighter in the history to ever hold two UFC titles simultaneously. Nurmagomedov is widely considered to be the best grappler in MMA, while McGregor is regarded to be the best striker.

As the two took their stances for the face-off’s, McGregor slapped his opponent’s wrist which led to a scuffle between the two. They had to be separated by their fellow corner-men and by the UFC officials present on the scene.
