Conor McGregor banks $3 million, Khabib gets $2 million for UFC 229

It goes without saying that Conor McGregor without a doubt the biggest stars in MMA and his popularity transcends the sport. Thanks to his popularity and drawing power, Conor McGregor has established himself a legitimate PPV draw with every fight of his selling over a million PPV buys.

Ahead of their fight, both Conor McGregor and Khabib Numragomedov are making multi-million dollars for this super fight.

Per a document released by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) earlier today, McGregor is expected to pull in a wealthy $3 million payday for his return to the Octagon, while Khabib will make the most he ever has with a $2 million fight purse.

Both fighters are surely making much more than the pay mentioned above, but Conor McGregor is making a ton of money.

McGregor recently signed a Multi-Million sponsorships deal with Reebok and Monster Energy.

“We’re estimating around 3 to 3.5 million (on PPV),” McGregor said at a raucous press conference held at Park Theater. “I’d say I’ll close in around the $50 million marks. So for a mixed martial artist to make $50 million in a mixed martial arts bout, it’s quite breathtaking.”

Meanwhile, Co-main event fighter Tony Ferguson: $150,000 to show ($5,000 to win) vs Anthony Pettis: $145,000 to show ($145,000 to win).
