Exactly a month ago, Irish MMA superstar Conor McGregor took to social media to announce that he had retired from the world of Mixed Martial Arts, then just a week after that he teased about returning back to the Octagon again.

But despite everything that has happened in his fighting career, McGregor has a successful Whiskey business. Last year Irish Whiskey sales topped $1 Billion in the United States. Conor McGregor’s Proper No. 12 whiskey was one of the official sponsors for his last fight at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. That fight was a blockbuster having sold 2.4 Million PPV buys in the US. According to the Irish times, McGregor’s Whiskey brand sold around 200,000 cases in the US.

But fans have taken to social media to question if McGregor still has a heart in the fight game, considering he now runs a successful business venture.

Even though I love and would love to see him fight again in the however at this point…why? just keep investing and getting richer!“, One fan wrote on Twitter.

McGregor immediately responded by saying that he loves fighting and will never be able to walk away from it.

I hear you but I love it dearly. If I am being honest with myself I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting. We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here. So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle!” McGregor wrote.
