Steel Crushes Iron: Conor McGregor Issues Warning To Michael Chandler Ahead Of Potential UFC 296 Clash

Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have been slated to take each other on at UFC 296, and ahead of the potential showdown, McGregor has some words of warning for “Iron”.

The former double champion has been in the conversation for more than two years about making a comeback to the Octagon, and the recent developments suggest that we will potentially see it happen this year at UFC 296, when Mystic Mac takes on Chandler, his recent TUF opponent coach and former Lightweight title challenger.

Since recovering from his leg fracture, McGregor has found himself going against Chandler for quite some time. While the two have continued their war of words and the TUF coaching spiced things up even more, there wasn’t much lead on whether the two would actually step inside the Octagon.

However, it was until when McGregor himself stated his wish to face Chandler in December. On top of that, the recent tweet from “The Notorious” has spiced things up even more, as he claimed to have “industrial steel” in leg, which he says will “crush Iron”, a jibe at Chandler’s nickname.

“I’ve industrial steel in my leg now, and I’ve long natural steel in the shoulders and elbows and knuckles of the fist. I’m over 3/4 steel. And steel crushes iron. Crushes the little bones in irons face. Out with the iron you little bosu ball motivational speakin handbag 😂😂” McGregor tweeted.

While an official statement from the UFC is yet to come, a McGregor vs. Chandler fight would surely become the biggest fight of this year. McGregor has already been one half of several biggest PPV events and his return is highly anticipated, added with the fan favourite Chandler against him- the fight will no doubt be a massive one.
