Conor McGregor plans his comeback fight soon: “The count down is on”

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has revealed that the countdown for his comeback fight has already begun and he has already started his hardcore training sessions. Conor Mcgregor is one o the biggest combat stars in the world and easily the biggest MMA star across the globe. The MMA circuit is eagerly waiting for his much-anticipated comeback fight which he has been teasing for a while.  Conor McGregor last fought at UFC 264 against his arch-rival Dustin Poirier. The duo has now fought thrice against each other. The first fight has been them took place in 2014 at UFC 178. Conor Mcgregor won the fight via KO in the very first round.

The second fight between them took place at UFC 257 where Dustin Poirier avenged his loss and got a vicious KO to win over Conor in the second round of the fight. The pair fought in an immediate rematch at 264 where Dustin Poirier scored another win over Conot but this time in a bizarre manner as Conor broke his foot by the end of the first round and Dustin was declared the winner by TKO via doctor stoppage.

Conor has been going through some rigorous training and recovery procedures after he received immediate surgery on the broken foot. A titanium rod has been installed in his leg after the surgery. He has been healing from the injury for the past couple of months and now is eyeing a comeback in the summer of 2022.

Now he recently posted a photo on Instagram and in the caption of the photo, he stated that the countdown to his comeback fight has started.

Conor McGregor in his latest interview with his MacLife media has diad that he wants to fight very soon and also laid out some names he loves to compete against. The one fight that Conor seems to be pretty much interested his against the UFC welterweight champion Kamaur Usman.

“I’ve gotten myself down to a lightweight frame, but I’m big now. I feel big, I feel strong, I feel healthy, I’ve got good energy. Coming back after a gruesome injury, I do not want to deplete myself. There’s no need to deplete me. And I feel confident against Usman – a jab-happy, sloppy orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever. What’s he gonna do? Where’s the danger here? I don’t see danger with him.”

Conor said in the interview that he is not in the shape to compete in the lightweight division and wants to fight in the tighter weight class. Conor also stated that his goal is to become the first fighter to hold the achampionship in three weight classes. Conor had become the featherweight champion fighter defeating Jose Aldo and collected the lightweight title after defeating Eddie Alvarez. Now he has plans to knockout Kamaru Usman and gets his welterweight title.
