UFC Superstar Conor Mcgregor’s Dublin Pub Black Forge was recently attacked by some people with Molotov Cocktails. No damage was done to the place and Conor was also not present at the time of the incident but this thing has caused a sense of fear around Conor as this thing might be serious. The Ireland police have taken this case into serious consideration considering the status of Conor McGregor. Though the case is under observation people have started making speculations surrounding this incident and many believe that this attack might be linked to a 2017 pub brawl involving McGregor and an associate of a major Irish crime gang.
According to the report, no damage was done to the pub, which McGregor purchased in 2019. The Black Forge staff stated to The Mirror and said McGregor was not on-site at the time of the incident and that the Irish police – the gardai – have started an investigation.
“After hours (Wednesday) it appears that criminals made an unprovoked effort to inflict damage to the Black Forge Inn,” the statement to The Mirror reads. “There was no damage done to any patrons, employees, or the Forge and Mr. McGregor was not on the premises at the time of the incident. The gardai have opened an investigation into the event. We are open and busy as always.”
Sources told the Irish outlet: ‘There were two people allegedly spotted on scooters who passed the establishment at the time and next thing they were being chased by two others who had come out of the property. McGregor was holding a taste testing menu in the pub at the same time so the alleged attackers may have assumed he was inside.’
Conor McGregor is currently recovering from the injury he suffered in his last fight against Dustin Poirier. Conor McGregor fought Dustin Poirier in a trilogy fight at UFC 264, In an unfortunate incident Conor broke his foot and the fight was waved off declaring Dustin as the winner by TKO. Now Conor is hoping to return to the UFC by the summer of 2022 and he might get lined up with some big fights. Accoridng to many speculations of the fan a fight between UFC Lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and Conor McGregor is the one making buzz considering the history between Conor and the brazil rivalry. Another ideal matchup for Conor is the wild lightweight contender Michael Chandler.
