A few months ago, a video was released by TMZ of Irish star Conor McGregor sucker-punching older gentlemen in the head at a pub in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland.

The incident took place in early April when he was giving people a sample of his Proper No. 12 whiskey. The older gentlemen didn’t take the sample whiskey even after being given twice after which McGregor swung with his left hand and the punch landed on the side of the man’s face.

Although the Irish police declined to file charges against the Irish star, McGregor had also issued an apology on EPSN.

I was completely in the wrong. There’s no need to even discuss what began it, what was going on outside, inside — any of that.

I was completely in the wrong. It was unacceptable behaviour and I accept that.” McGregor told in an interview last month.

Now the court has reversed the decision and has directed the police to issue a summon against him and has been served with a notice to appear in court. The news was first reported by The Irish Independent on Friday. McGregor, 31, is due in Dublin District Court on Oct. 11.

The Irishmen has had several run-ins with the law. From attacking Khabib Nurmagomedov in a bus to smashing a fans mobile phone.
