The MMA fandom is awaiting for the return of Conor McGregor in two areas- the UFC, as well as the USADA testing pool, and the former double champ is already starting to tease about the latter.
“The Notorious” has been away from the Octagon for nearly two years, since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Now past his recovery phase, McGregor is edging close to making a return to action, with Michael Chandler being the fighter aimed at.
In the meantime, there has been one hiccup for the Irishman. In order to return to the fight game after a lengthy hiatus, all athletes are required to be in the USADA testing pool for six months before their comeback fight. On the other hand, McGregor is yet to enter the pool.
Stay Ready for the date: Conor McGregor hints re-entering USADA pool
In a recent series of tweets where Mystic Mac is seen in the ‘pool’- an actual swimming pool, the subtle hints did not pass the eyes of the fans. Along with a couple of teasing captions accompanied by photos and video, McGregor did say at the end that a date announcement is coming.
“We are in the pool! Happy Easter everybody”
“Ah the pool.”
“I am long in the pool.”
“Stay Ready for the date.”

There has been much controversy surrounding McGregor’s absence from USADA pool, with mixed responses from the community. However, one notable voice in favour of McGregor’s absence from the pool is Joe Rogan, the UFC color commentator who has taken a stand in favour of the former two division UFC champion.
“Let’s speculate. He got out of the USADA testing pool, this is what I would imagine if I was a pro athlete at Conor’s level, you need help.” Rogan said during a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience. “You’re not going to heal off that just eating mangos and f*cking eating clean, you need some help. I would want that person to take something. You’d have to consult with an expert sports medicine doctor who would tell you, ‘you want peptides, you want this, you want that.’”
