Conor McGregor is in the headlines once again and this time, it’s for the right reasons.
The former UFC Lightweight champion asked ONE Championship Chairman Chatri Sityodtong to sign the entire UFC Flyweight division as rumours of UFC dissolving the division are heating up. ONE championship had earlier signed Demetrious Johnson, who was one of the pioneers of the division.
The departure of Johnson has apparently accelerated UFC’s plans to bring down the Flyweight Division and a few fighters have been released already. While UFC is yet to comment on the issue, McGregor came out batting for the Flyweights.
You can see the tweet from McGregor below.
You must now take all the 125lbers that have been let go, Chatri.
You talk all of this Martial Art and respect talk, yet your greed has directly cost more than half a fighting division it’s chance to earn income for their family.
Have respect @YODCHATRI.
Sign the division.— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) November 8, 2018

It would be interesting to see how ONE responds to McGregor as the stakes are high.
Do you think McGregor is raising his voice for the right reason? Or do you think he is being a hypocrite by only blaming ONE championship and not the UFC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
