Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor has been training alongside an Indian heavyweight fighter Ramston Rodrigues in preparation for his fight against Dustin Poirier scheduled to take place at UFC 264 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Conor McGregor took to social media to share the pic with Ramston Rodrigues. He praised the Indian heavyweight and added that he stood with India in its fight through the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Training with India’s next heavyweight champion, @ramstonrodrigues 🇮🇳
Working with Ramston, I know first hand how strong India and its people truly are!
I stand with India in their fight through Covid. Let’s go India! We are with you!
The world is with you!,” Conor McGregor posted on his Instagram.
While Conor McGregor has said that Ramston Rodrigues is a future heavyweight champion from India, there’s no official record of him on either Sherdog or Tapology. Peeking through his social media account suggests that he has just started his professional MMA career.
Conor McGregor and Ramston Rodrigues are currently training in UFC gym in UAE.
