UFC superstar Conor Mcgregor will soon be boxing but this time it will be a wheelchair charity boxing for the Irish Wheelchair Association on September 11 against Al Foran, who is a well-known impressionist.
Conor Mcgregor last fought at UFC 264 against his arch-rival Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight with the series at that time being leveled at 1-1. The round one was a dominant one for Dustin Poirier who took Conor down and mauled him on the ground and landed some vicious ground and pound shots. By the end of the first round, Conor and Dustin both tried to throw punches but missed, during that exchanged Conor stepped back and his foot snapped in half and broke. The Doctor was called in who waved off the fight declaring Dustin as the winner of the fight via TKO due to doctor stoppage.
Later it was revealed that Conor was suffering from several foot injuries leading up to the fight and one of the injuries got worse during the fight as Conor landed many kicks in that fight and the foot snapped on one of those heavy kicks.

Recently news surfaced on the internet regarding Conor’s return to the ring. The rumors stated that Mcgregor will be fighting a wheelchair charity boxing match for the Irish Wheelchair Association on September 11 against Al Foran, who is known online as a McGregor impressionist.
Shortly after the news was surfaced, a McGregor spokesperson told ESPN that Conor is not a part of this event and all of it is just rumors. But the news was going wild and even Conor realized that this is something he might be interested in doing so he came forward and revealed that he would love to fight but just not in September as he needs time to heal up.
Guys, the September date is too early for me. I am still in recovery. My docs/physical therapy team out here advice me to stay. I reckon late October at earliest. But maybe November/December too. It is hard to say at this time a concrete date. But I’m in! Wait for me please! 🥊

Just a few weeks after his surgery Mcgregor was back in the gym training his upper body as he was in a wheelchair, this shows that Conor is looking to come back soon and make a statement.
