Conor McGregor is ready to invest his interest in the highly anticipated Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk matchup, but only if the tech billionaires lock horns under the UFC banner.
I’m excited to see how it unfolds: Conor McGregor on Zuckerberg vs. Musk
Last month, Musk sent the combat sports fanbase into a frenzy after he challenged Zuckerberg to a fight in the cage. To which, Zuckerberg responded by saying “Send me location.”
Since then, the potential fight has become one of the biggest topics of discussion. Aside from countless fans who are highly anticipating the matchup, MMA icons Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre have expressed interest in training Zuckerberg and Musk for the fight respectively, and even UFC prez Dana White has thumbed up to making the fight under the UFC banner.
The fight, it it comes to fruition, is expected to draw record-breaking PPV numbers and can potentially become one of the biggest fights of all time. Conor McGregor, who has been featured in four of the top five biggest PPV earning events in history, was recently reached out to by Adam Glyn, regarding the Zuckerberg vs. Musk fight.
The former double champ insisted that the fight needs to happen under the UFC banner and only if that happens, he will be interested in it.
“I’m interested,” McGregor said. “Are they gonna go ahead with it? Is it gonna happen? If it happens under the UFC banner, I’m with it. It has to happen under the UFC banner, and I’m with it. I hope they go ahead with it. Their pockets might be large, but is the talk cheap? They said it. Are they gonna do it now? I’m excited to see how it unfolds.” [H/T MMA Mania]
