In one of the most anticipated bouts in Dana White’s Tuesday night Contender Series (DWTNCS), Alex Munoz put an end to the ‘Notorious’ Nick Newell’s dream of getting into the UFC by winning the fight via unanimous decision. And the UFC contracts were awarded by Dana White to Jeff Hughes, Sodiq Yusuff, and Jim Crute for their triumphant performance in the contender series.
In one of the best fights in DWTNCS history, Jim Crute def Chris Birchler by KO via punch (4:23, R1) to claim to UFC contract. Jeff Hughes defeated Josh Appelt by KO via punch (4:26, R1) and Sodiq Yusuff defeated Mike Davis by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) to get the UFC deal.

Dana white added that Chase Hooper is getting a developmental deal in which he can access a lot of benefits of the promotion including its state of the art UFC Performance Institute. Hooper defeated Canaan Kawaihae by unanimous decision (29-26, 29-26, 28-26)
