UFC 232 is finally in the books now. In the main event of UFC 232, the controversial and infamous Jon Jones again captured the UFC’s light heavyweight title by defeating Alexander Gustafsson in a pretty convincing fashion via TKO in the third round. However, Jones vs. Gustafsson wasn’t the only light heavyweight bout on the main-card. It also featured a match-up between Corey Anderson and Ilir Latifi. Anderson came out on top due to a unanimous decision. He later took to Twitter and called-out Jones for a match.
Anderson was highly active in 2018 and racked up three straight wins in the year over notable fighters such as Glover Texeira, Patrick Cummins, etc.
Anderson took to Twitter and called out Jones. He claimed that all other light heavyweight contenders are booked and Anthony Smith still hasn’t earned his shot at the title yet. Jones later did respond warning Anderson to be careful about what he wished for. Below is there Twitter exchange:
@JonnyBones F what the people talking about, I'm your huckleberry. Everybody else is booked and Smith hasn't earned his stripes. @ufc @AliAbdelaziz00 @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 @arielhelwani @MMAjunkie pic.twitter.com/n6Q3bnhB8u
