Recently UFC president Dana White said that former UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg doesn’t want to fight current UFC bantamweight and featherweight champion in a rematch because she is afraid of losing.
Cris Cyborg fought Nunes last year at UFC 232 where he was knocked out by her fellow Brazilian in less than a minute. However, the recent accusations of White hasn’t sat well with Cyborg who is all set to fight Felicia Spencer in the Co-main event of UFC 240 in Edmonton, Canada.
“If Dana White does something nice for me, I’m going to be surprised,” Cyborg said in a recent interview to MMA Junkie. “He’s doing this all my career. I just laugh at him. When I see him, I just laugh.
“It’s a business. He’s working with the UFC, but I don’t have to deal with him. I don’t deal with him. I deal with another person in the UFC, and this is not any problem. I just have to be professional.”
However, despite what White said, Cyborg is fully concentrated on her upcoming fight.
“I just have to keep my focus, keep my plan, and get the finish and the victory on Saturday,” Cyborg said. “I always fight with my heart. Fight with my heart made me champion. Fight with my heart maybe made me lose the last fight. But whatever I feel in the fight, I’m going to do.” Cyborg said. (H/T – MMA Junkie)
