UFC prez Dana White has shed some light on Conor McGregor’s return, stating that no matter what USADA says, the former double champ will be back in action this year against Michael Chandler.

McGregor and Chandler, who are the opposing coaches in TUF 31, are speculated to fight in December, but the biggest hurdle for the Irisman’s return is that he has not re-entered the USADA testing pool yet, and according to the rules, he needs to be there for at least six months before he can step into the Octagon.

To make the Chandler fight happen this year, “The Notorious” was required to re-enter the pool a couple of weeks ago but since he didn’t do it, it is speculated that the fight might be pushed into next year.

All that being said, Dana White begs to differ. Speaking to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN, the UFC prez stated that while McGregor is still not in the pool, he doesn’t care what USADA will say about him.

“He is not… We will see how that plays out, they are saying that now, but who knows? I don’t talk about shit until shit happens, you know what I mean,” said White. “To sit here and think hypothetically how a million different things could happen, no idea, I’m focused on what’s happening this Saturday and the next Saturday. UFC 300 isn’t even in my mind right now, the Conor thing, who the hell knows how that thing is going to play out? Who cares what USADA says, we will see what happens when it happens. I don’t know.”

“100 percent,” White acknowledged when asked whether McGregor vs. Chandler is possible this year. [H/T BJPenn.com]
