UFC president Dana White has said that the UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been taking advice from the wrong people and messing up relations with UFC regarding his contract and fight negotiations. UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou on several occasions has talked about his fight contract dispute with the UFC officials. He also states that he feels disrespected as a champion and sometimes he doesn’t even feel like the UFC heavyweight champion. He has openly talked about the process during Derrick Lewis and Jon Jones’s fight contracts.
In one of the recent interviews, he expressed his disappointment, which he was facing during his last fight negotiation process as UFC was disrespecting him. He was offered to fight Derrick Lewis just a few months after he won the championship. He also said that UFC didn’t inform him about the interim title.
“Well—[*sighs]—*a lot is going on. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, [but] people don’t see it and they have their own opinion,” Ngannou said. “Before my last fight, the UFC wanted me to sign some contract and that contract wasn’t right. I didn’t sign that contract and I feel like they weren’t happy about that. I signed a contract before, and it didn’t play out very well on my end. So, in order to sign another contract, I think it’s my right to at least look out for myself and get what is right for me to fix whatever was the mistake in the previous one. And if someone doesn’t believe they should fix their mistake then that means that person is not looking for anything good for you.”

Speaking on Travis Browne‘s latest podcast, UFC president Dana White put some light on the Francis Ngannou issues. In which he said that feels that Francis has been taking advice from the wrong people who have no idea how things work in the UFC.
