The back and forth between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and UFC president Dana White doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

White said that Jon Jones had insane demands to fight top light heavyweight contender Francis Ngannou. According to White, Jones was asking a payday similar to what the former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder made for fighting Tyson Fury last February.

Deontay Wilder received a base pay of $5 Million and when accounting the PPV cut the number swells closer to $30 Million. Wilder vs Fury 2 also sold a staggering 850,000 PPV buys and did a record $16.9 Million at the gate.

I’ll quote him and what he had said to my lawyer,” White said. “He told my lawyer he wants what Deontay Wilder was paid. I think it was $30 million was what Deontay Wilder was paid.”

Dana White tells Jon Jones to take a lie detector test

Yesterday, Jon Jones accused UFC president Dana White of lying about the demands. Ahead of Woodley-Burns 2 media day, White addressed those accusations from Jones.

White said that he had proof of Jones’ demand for fighting Francis Ngannou and then stated that he won’t indulge in sharing the text messages to the press.

I’m not gonna do that. I’m not gonna put his text messages out in the press. I could. If Jon Jones wants to sit down take a lie detector test about who’s lying and who’s not. We can do that too. So you know I don’t want to go there with this guy. The guy’s made a lot of money.”

If you look at Jon Jones track record, show me somebody that has the track record this guy has and has made the money Jon Jones has made. Doesn’t happen.”

Jon Jones calls Dana White ‘a f**king liar’

After Dana White told the press about Jones’ demands, the light heavyweight champion spent no time taking to twitter and calling Dana White ‘a f**king liar’.

Jones also said in the tweet that UFC’s lawyer Hunter Campbell was free to release the text messages.

If you’re going to stick to these lies, I’m going to stick to defending myself. Please have your lawyer Hunter Campbell release those text messages.” Jones tweeted.

Don’t be a f**king liar. My reputation has already taken enough hits. I don’t need this bullsh*t, Dana. I never asked for Deontay Wilder’s numbers. And how about since Deontay is making $30 million, we settle for half of that. Since you said I’m the GOAT and everything.”

During the interview, Dana White also said that Jon Jones made a lot of money fighting in the UFC despite his reputation. Jones always had trouble with law enforcement. Jones fired back saying that if his reputation is the reason behind the UFC undervaluing him then he the organisation should release him.

I don’t even make half of half of what Deontay Wilder makes,” Jones said. “If my reputation causes you to undervalue me this much, just go ahead and release my from my UFC contract all together. I’m sure some promoter somewhere will be more than happy to pick me up.

And if I wanted to compare money to someone else, I would compare money to my brothers. I see firsthand the way the NFL treats their champion athletes. There’s a huge difference. I’ve kept my mouth shut my entire career.”
