About a month ago, former double champ and superstar ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor announced his retirement from the sport.
The announcement came as a shock as McGregor was strongly associated with a fight against fan favorite Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone. However, the minute McGregor announced his retirement, fans knew it could potentially be a set up for something huge.
The speculation came true as President Dana White claimed he would meet Conor McGregor when he came to South Florida for UFC on ESPN+ 8 fight week.
“I’m meeting with Conor in Miami in two weeks,” White said during the UFC’s summer lineup news conference in Atlanta on April 12.
However at UFC on ESPN+ 8 conference, White revealed the meeting couldn’t come along but he’s planning one real soon.
“I was supposed to meet with him down here; we’re going to meet in LA instead,” White said.
