UFC President Dana White said he has no interest in doing any business with Jake Paul and also would never loan a UFC fighter to fight the youtuber turned boxer.
Jake Paul has always been in the headlines since his KO victory over Ben Askren. He has just become one of the big draws in the combat sports world. He has been calling out many UFC fighters and also many fighters have shown interest in fighting him and getting the big paycheck.
But even with all this buzz, Jake Paul has not been able to impress UFC President Dana White who after seeing Ben Askren KO said he does not believe it’s legit. Following the UFC 261 event, UFC president Dana White talked about the celebrity boxer who was in the stands watching that event and also had a confrontation with Daniel Cormier.
“He knocked out an NBA guy that was 40 years old and 30 pounds less than him,” White said at the UFC 261 post-fight press conference. “I don’t even know what to think about the [Ben] Askren thing. The whole thing is f*cking mind-boggling to me, but good for him. Grab that money while you can, kid.
“I don’t believe anything [Triller] say. That’s a f*cking circus. None of that is real. Do you think any of that sh*t that’s going on over there is real? C’mon, man. I built a real business here, a real sport.”
According to Dana, Jake Paul’s victory over former Bellator and ONE FC champion and UFC fighter Ben Askren was just part of the show and he wouldn’t consider it a legitimate win. He specifically said that he will not do any Business with Paul and also wouldn’t promote a UFC fighter to fight against Jake Paul.
“First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no,” Dana White told ESPN. “No, this is not what we do. I’m not gonna f***ing loan them a guy for f**ing what? There’s no way. You got plenty of f***ing goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing. Yeah, I’m not your guy.”
“Listen, you cannot deny the fact that this kid has inserted himself into the conversation with real guys,” White said. “This guy has got three fights, and I gotta tell you that I don’t know if I truly believe the Ben Askren thing. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around that.
“Let’s see how long it takes before this kid’s 15 minutes are up, but they are being smart. They are keeping him away from anybody that could actually really do damage. I don’t know. The Ben Askren thing still blows my mind.”
