The UFC president Dana White had high praise for the former Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey during her official induction to the UFC Hall of Fame Class of 2018 ( Modern wing). Ronda, who recently retired from MMA and moved on to professional wrestling, is the first women fighter to be inducted into this elite club.

Dana White stated that Ronda is a real pioneer and gave a fresh perspective of the sport for other female combatants. He added that Ronda proved that women could sell big pay per view events and broke barriers and she smashed records and showcased some of the most dominant performances in MMA. He even compared her performance with that of Mike Tyson in his prime.
The undefeated Ronda had to face a disappointing loss in her last MMA bouts against Holly Holmes and the present bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes, but that doesn’t change the fact she remains one of the most decorated athletes who changed the Era of the women’s division.
