UFC President Dana White has said that there would be no punishment from UFC to mega star Conor Mcgregor after his actions at UFC 223 led to three fights being cancelled. Conor Mcgregor after an argument between his team mate Artem Lobov and UFC Lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov ambushed the fighter’s bus in which Khabib was travelling and broke the windows by throwing a dolly, which resulted in injuries to Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg resulting in their fights being cancelled along with Artem Lobov as a punishment for being involved in the attack.
It was revealed at the UFC Press Conference that Conor Mcgregor would face Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in Las Vegas, Nevada on 6th October in a mega announcement. The question however which was on the minds of many reporters was whether Conor would be punished for his misdemeanors with a suspension or fines from the UFC.
“Suspended? He hasn’t fought in 2 years. How much longer should we suspend him?” Dana White said. “He’s obviously lost lots of money. Millions of dollars in what went down in New York. What more could we do to him? He went through the legal process and got what he got. That’s it!”
