UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has beaten Daniel Cormier on two different occasions and although his latest victory over Cormier was ruled as ‘NC’. The trilogy fight definitely has tremendous interest amongst fans and it also makes financial sense for the UFC to make it happen considering both fighters are big draws on Box Office.

Even Cormier said that he wants to fight Jones for the third time and has, in fact, stated that he would move down in weight class and fight Jones at light heavyweight.

However, Jon Jones didn’t believe that Cormier at the balls to drop down to light heavyweight to fight him.  He said during an interview that Cormier would never move down to fight him in a trilogy.

Daniel Cormier cleared down the remarks made by Jones in UFC press conference where he was present to promote his rematch with Stipe Miocic.

It can always happen whether it’s in here in the Octagon or in the back when I’m leaving the building,” Cormier said of a trilogy bout with Jones. “When Dana (White) opens up the book and this is what I’m getting paid… then you guys might get a third fight.”

Both Jones and Cormier are currently concerned about their own upcoming fights. Jon Jones will take on Thiago Santos at UFC 239 which will take place this weekend in Las Vegas and Daniel Cormier will take on Stipe Miocic on August 17 in a rematch at the Honda Center.
