It is fair to say that everyone was stunned and extremely happy by arguably the MMA’s heavyweight G.O.A.T Fedor Emelianenko’s victory over Chael “The People’s champ” Sonnen in the semi-finals of the Bellator heavyweight Grand Prix at Bellator 208, for the Bellator heavyweight title, after it was vacated by former champion Vitaly Minakov. Many pundits hailed “The Last Emperor” and predicted that he will surely go on to win the tournament by defeating even the much younger and dangerous Bellator light heavyweight champion, Ryan Bader in the final. However, the UFC’s double champ begs to differ, DC recently took to Twitter and stated that whie Fedor’s performance was great and dominant, he still expects Bader to win it.
Bader, who is a former UFC light heavyweight title contender, jumped ships to Bellator and won the company’s top prize at the 205 pounds division in his first fight against Phil Davis.
DC believes that Bader’s wretling pedigree will be too much for Fedor too handle. He believes that Fedor will get taken down by Bader and won’t be able to get back up to his feet. Thus, the UFC’s champ champ has predicted that we will soon see another champ champ in MMA.
Below is the tweet by DC:
No doubt in my mind that @ryanbader wins this tournament. I love Fedor, but he gets taken down by Bader and he doesn’t get up. And he can’t get tired and be so reckless. Gonna be fun to watch.
