UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is all set to fight former heavyweight champion at UFC 241 in Anaheim, California on August 17 in a venue yet to be decided.
Although he was slated to fight WWE superstar and former UFC champ Brock Lesnar in a super fight, as per Dana White, the WWE star doesn’t want to return to the octagon.
Cormier was recently present at Ariel Helwani’s MMA show, where he revealed that he still wants to fight UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones for the third time and he is willing to move down in weight class for that.
“It’s all I want. … If I do stick around, that would be the fight that I would do it for. And it would be at 205 pounds because I need to go and get that back from him.”

“It’s all I want. … If I do stick around, that would be the fight that I would do it for. And it would be at 205 pounds because I need to go and get that back from him.” Cormier said.
“We don’t complement each other in the normal sense, but I think competitively, we make each other better,” he said. “Also, we make the most money together.”
Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier have fought each other twice and Jones has beaten him both the times. Technically, although the second fight at UFC 214 ended in a TKO victory for Jones, the results were overturned after Jones failed a drug test.
