Las Vegas is embracing for the biggest heavyweight fight in nearly two decades. WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is set to defend his title against Tyson Fury. The fight will take place this weekend at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight is the rematch as the pair squared off eighteen months ago in Los Angeles.

The first fight ended in a controversial draw. While Fury outboxed Deontay Wilder for the entirety of the fight, Wilder scored two knockdowns in the fight, which may have swayed off the judges’ decision slightly.

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury

Ever since his fight against Wilder, the former heavyweight champion has since competed twice against Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin and has defeated them both. He also made an appearance on WWE Crown Jewel against Braun Strowman and defeated him.

Meanwhile, Wilder also competed twice in 2019. He knocked out Dominick Breazeale and Luis Ortiz.

None the less, the promotion for the rematch has been terrific. Fox Sports and ESPN are doing a joint PPV for this fight. Fox Sports also ran two 30-seconds ads for the fight during the Super Bowl 54.
