Devon Larratt, the most popular arm wrestler in the world and currently a popular figure in combat sports, will be seen performing Jiu Jitsu as the Canadian puller revealed that he will be taking part in the upcoming ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship 2022 set to take place in Las Vegas in September.

Arm wrestling has seen a huge popularity among combat sports fans in recent years and among its star studded roster, Devon Larratt has become the poster boy for the sport. A former Canadian Special Forces soldier, “No Limits” Larratt has enjoyed a decorated career and has headlined the biggest arm wrestling events in recent times, such as the first, second and fourth editions of the premium King of the Table events.

Aside from calling arm wrestling “miniature marshal art” for the heavy presence of “thundering techniques” and “bruising tactics” in the sport, Larratt also has a keen enthusiasm for other contact sports and even made his boxing debut in an exhibition bout against strongman and actor Hafthor Björnsson in August last year.

Devon Larratt returns to Jiu-Jitsu training ahead of ADCC World Championship

Auden, the middle child of Devon and Jodi Larratt, has been seen performing Jiu Jitsu with his father on Larratt’s YouTube channel, and in a recent video, the 47-year-old revealed that the two have received an invitation to the upcoming ADCC World Championship, taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on 27th and 18th September.

“As luck and fate would have it, Auden and I have been invited to the Abu Dhabi combative Championship this year in Las Vegas and I’m so ecstatic about this opportunity,” Larratt announced on YouTube.

“That is the biggest jiu-jitsu event yearly and I’ve watched it for years and to be able to bring my son to it, in Vegas this September, I’m completely out of my mind happy and that this has fallen into our lap so thank you ADCC for this,” he added.

Larratt also said that he will be back in jiu-jitsu training after a decade and a half and has also gotten a gi, or “combat kimono” for his training.

“After probably about 15 years of inactivity, I ordered a gi,” he went on, “I’m probably gonna go to my first jiu jitsu class coming up this Wednesday. I plan on doing it just a bit once a week.”

“There’s a lot of similarities between our communities. Arm wrestling is a miniature martial art. It’s a miniature fight- I love that. I love what sport gives us and I am so looking forward to going to Vegas in September. Hope to see you all there,” Larratt signed off.
