Former UFC fighter Diego Sanchez after being released from UFC and finally ending his professional relationship with Joshua Fabia has now indicated that he might enter the boxing ring.
Diego Sanchez has been in the spotlight since 2002, he is most known for his time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship where he won the Middleweight tournament of The Ultimate Fighter season 1. He has also formerly competed for King of the Cage, where he was the Welterweight Champion.
His last fight in the UFC was supposed to be against Donald Cerrone on May 8, 2021, at UFC on ESPN 24. However, he was removed from the fight on April 28 for undisclosed reasons and he was replaced by Alex Morono. Right after that, he was released from the UFC as he and his then coach Joshua Fabia had some disputes with the UFC team regarding Sanchez’s health issue.
Just a few weeks back it was revealed that Joshua Fabia and Diego Sanchez ended their professional relationship. Even UFC president Dana White had many things to say about Fabia who is a very weird person and had made many allegations against Dana White which seemed to be baseless.
The news of their separation was reported by MMA Fighting, they got the word from Sanchez and his attorney, Charles Lakins that Diego Sanchez will no longer be working and training with Joshua Fabia.
“Any power of attorney that Fabia had has been rescinded/terminated,” Lakins said about Sanchez cutting ties with coach Fabia. Diego hasn’t made any comment on the following matter.
Diego Sanchez wants to enter Boxing
Taking to his social media on Thursday, Diego stated that he is looking forward to competing again and wants to end his fighting career on a good scale. While stating this he used the word boxing in his hashtag. This suggests that he might want to try his luck in the boxing world like most of the returned MMA fighters are doing.
I built my name, I built my skill set, I built my legacy and I will finish my fight career on the confidence I built in my self! Not a coach not a team but blessings from God!🙏🏼 #boxing

Just a few weeks ago it was announced that Tyron Woodley will be fighting Jake Paul in a boxing match. Just Like Diego, he was also released by the UFC after he was on a losing skid. Maybe just like Woodley and Askren, Diego can also make some money by the end of his career.
