Dillon Danis was suspended from fighting for 7 months and was handed a $7,500 fine as well. Some might say that Dillon Danis was the victim of circumstance. He was not the one who started the brawl, and he was also the one to suffer an attack from Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

However, Danis does not see it that way. In fact, he is pleased with the way that things have turned out for him. While he does not appreciate the suspension or the fine, he is content that he at least got to hit Khabib during the exchange.

At UFC 229, Dillon Danis was at the corner of Conor McGregor for his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov. However, after the fight was over, his duties as a cornerman seemed to increase manifold. Khabib, tired with the taunting coming from the McGregor corner, was on a high after having made ‘The Notorious One’ tap out. He attacked Danis after leaping over the cage, which resulted in a brawl breaking out.

Conor was also attacked by two of Khabib’s teammates, both of whom have also been suspended for a term of 1 year each. Conor McGregor is serving a 6-month sentence, and Khabib was hit with a 9-month suspension, while all the fighters were fined.
