Dominick Cruz set to return at UFC 233 against John Lineker

Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz has had a career plagued with injuries. These injuries have resulted in him not fighting since December 30, 2016, at UFC 207 where he lost his title in dominant fashion against then prospect Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt.

But now former champion Cruz now finally has a return date as he is set to fight Josh Linekar at UFC 233 that will be held on January 26, 2019, at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Dominick Cruz has been very been an active analyst for FOX Sports during his time off, has been called out by multiple fighters over the past two years and has been called out numerous fighters in the division.

Linekar has been on a roll, as he is on a two-fight winning streak and has won eight of his previous nine fights with his sole loss during that stretch coming to current UFC bantamweight champion T.J Dillashaw who is moving down to fight Henry Cejudo in Brooklyn.  “Hands of Stone” competed twice since Cruz’s last bout, defeating Marlon Vera via decision and knocking out Brian Kelleher in May.
