UFC 247 featured a controversial unanimous decision as champ Jon Jones was able to get the nod over previously undefeated Dominick Reyes.

Even though one judge scored four rounds in the favour of Jones, the fight was certainly close than the scorecards reflected. In fact many believe he had done enough to secure a win over P4P #1 ranked Jones. That being said, Reyes has been eyeing for a rematch ever since.

However Jones has been denying the rematch. He believes he beat Reyes fair and square. Meanwhile, a virtual title eliminator took place as Polish Jan Blachowicz knocked out a surging Corey Anderson. Jones then hinted on fighting Blachowicz which frustrated Reyes. Lately Jones has been plotting a potential move up to heavyweight which added to his frustration.

‘The Dominator’ took to social media accusing Jones of avoiding the fight. He claims himself to be the most ‘dangerous’ fight. (via Twitter):

That was not it as Reyes took on former champ Tyron Woodley as well. Reyes was  unhappy by the fact that Woodley replaced him in the list of top 15 P4P fighters. Especially keeping in mind that Woodley has not fought since almost 15 months. (via Twitter):

Jones has been teasing a move up to heavyweight. He and former title challenger Francis Ngannou have been going at it. The UFC have been interested in a trilogy between champ Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier. Miocic however is out of action citing an eye injury, which has kept the division on hold. Ngannou therefore deserves a big fight like Jones.

It is unclear whether Reyes will get his rematch or not. In their first fight, he came out guns blazing in the first three rounds but lost steam in the championship rounds. Jones, who obviously has more experience in the championship rounds, clearly won the fourth and fifth rounds. The dispute seems to have been on the second round. Also the judging on the earlier fights of the card was egregious, which added to the controversy of the decision.
