UFC 238 turned out to be just as advertised, i.e. extremely violent and even more thrilling, with some fighters like Donald Cerrone Tony Ferguson, etc, in particular, excelling and wowing the crowd with their risk taking and extremely entertaining style of fighting.
Thus, the biggest downside of putting up such entertaining fights is that you end up taking too much damage and severely injuring yourself, i.e. the case with Cowboy Cerrone.
Cerrone and Ferguson had put up an amazing fight before he was forced to stop by the doctor’s due to the injuries he had sustained during the fight. Cerrone had suffered visible facial injuries.
Now the UFC 238 medical suspensions have been made public and while most fighters have gotten somewhere from 30 days to 90 days medical suspensions, including Ferguson, Cerrone hasn’t. Cerrone has not yet received a medical suspension and the doctors have instead asked him to submit CT Scan reports of his facial injuries and to get MRIs done as well.
