UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier has revealed that he has been in talks with the UFC for his next fight but the UFC is not responding and Dustin at this moment is hoping that the UFC set his next fight against Conor McGregor. Dustin Poirier last fought for the lightweight title against the current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 269. He lost the fight in third-round via submission. Recently Dustin Poirier was in talks to fight UFC superstar Nate Diaz the duo was supposed to fight previously but the fight got canceled but now according to Dustin he wasn’t the fourth fight against Conor McGregor.
During his latest QNA session with his Twitter fans, Dustin Poirier shared his thoughts about the ongoing situation with the UFC.
I don't know what's going on. I haven't heard anything from anyone in the last 2 months. https://t.co/Di93WImuj3

“Probably so,” Poirier responded when asked if he thinks the UFC is waiting to book the fourth McGregor fight.
Dustin Poirier was recently called out by his former teammate Colby Covington who after getting his hands raised against his rival Jorge Masvidal said that now he wants to fight another ex-teammate, Dustin Poirier.
Dustin had responded to this callout saying that it’s cute. In his previous interview, he had also said that if he ever sees Colby Covington outside they both might engage in a fight as Colby has crossed his lines when he talked trash about Dustin’s wife and kids.
“It’s cute,” Poirier told ESPN backstage during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 203 event. “It’s all good. It is what it is. People want big fights. That’s a big fight. He wants big fights. Obviously, he’s not in line for the title fight. He lost twice to the champ, so he probably needs a few more wins. But I would think if you want to get back to that strap you have to fight welterweight contenders. I don’t know what I’m doing if I’m going to welterweight if I’m staying at 155. We’ll see. But it is what it is.”
While Dustin is not getting any fights, his arch-rival Conor McGregor is recording from the brutal injury he suffered in his last trilogy fight against Dustin at UFC 264. Now all the fans are eagerly waiting for the UFC to set up a nice fight for Dustin Poirier as he is one of the must-see UFC fighters.
