Ryan Garcia recently announced his retirement from boxing after a tumultuous 2024. The young fighter, known as ‘KingRy,’ has been in the spotlight due to his controversial behavior leading up to his fight with Devin Haney. Despite securing a surprising decision victory over Haney, Garcia’s positive drug tests and subsequent suspension have overshadowed his success.

Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn, who worked with Haney for the fight against Garcia, expressed his frustration with the situation. Hearn stated, “I’m getting so bored of Ryan Garcia… It really aggravates me that no one close to him is getting a hold of him. Someone needs to help him. I want Ryan to deal with the situation. I think he’s got a good heart, I think he’s a very good fighter.”

Garcia’s retirement leaves fans and fellow fighters wondering about the future of this talented yet troubled boxer. While Hearn hopes to see Garcia back in the ring, it remains uncertain whether ‘KingRy’ will return.
