An absolute slugfest is slated for Fight Night in Philadelphia as #6 ranked Edson Barboza (20-6 MMA, 14-6 UFC) might take on former WSOF champion and #7 ranked lightweight Justin ‘The Highlight’ Gaethje (19-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) on March 30.
Both obviously known for their fight finishing abilities, a finish would definitely be served. Gaethje is coming off of a brutal first round knockout victory against rival James Vick back in August. The victory also snapped his two-fight losing streak against former champion Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier. (via Twitter):

Barboza on the other hand has had a similar timeline. Barboza is also coming off of a third round knockout of a tough Dan Hooker last month. The victory also snapped his two-fight losing streak against current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kevin Lee. Barboza came out in his trademark creative style throwing variety of techniques like body kicks and spinning kicks before flooring Hooker with a picture perfect José Aldo style liver shot.
Gaethje, a former NCAA Division I wrestler, loves to stand and bang and walk his opponent down. However, Gaethje did admitted that he is ready to incorporate his wrestling base. He didn’t even require it in his last fight however keeping in mind Barboza’s weakness against wrestlers, Gaethje might be have to go back to his base a bit.
Fans would be anticipating the vicious symphony of body shots and leg kicks to be materialised as soon as possible.
