Germaine de Randamie was back in the octagon this past weekend at UFC Fight Night 139. The Former UFC Women’s featherweight champion secured an impressive decision victory over Raquel Pennington.
This was her first fight after being stripped of the Featherweight title and she made a statement with the win as well. Pennington, meanwhile, is now on a two-fight losing streak.
Ahead of her fight, Randamie had detailed about an incident that almost got her blinded. While explaining, Randamie ended up being emotional and had tearful eyes.

With the win, Randamie improved her record to 8-3. She also improved her winning streak to four fights having secured wins over Holly Holm, Anna Elmose and Larissa Pacheco prior to this. Her last defeat came against reigning Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes back at UFC Fight Night 31 in November 2013.
The next step of Randamie is yet to be known but the win against Pennington is bound to give her some great mileage.
