The controversy regarding Zubaira Tukhugov has hit the UFC very hard. For the uninitiated, Tukhugov was one of the UFC Fighters involved in the brawl which took place after the UFC 229 main event.
Tukhugov was seen attacking McGregor during the whole chaos. The clip of his attack on McGregor has caused a lot of outrage and UFC is apparently considering the possibility of firing Tukhugov.
However, Khabib Nurmagomedov came out in support for this brother and issued a warning that he will leave the promotion if Tukhugov is fired.
While we are still awaiting an official confirmation, another fighter has stepped into the mix. It is none other than Artem Lobov. Tukhugov is scheduled to fight Lobov at UFC Fight Night 138 later this month.
Lobov noted on his Twitter that UFC should not fire Tukhugov and save the Russian from his ‘punishment’. You can see the tweet from Lobov below.
