The two boxers were set to square off in an immediate rematch on May 18th, 2019, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. However, the plan got scrapped off. It’s because Tyson signed a co-promotion deal with Bob Arum. It was a long-term deal with the top rank Inc as well as ESPN.

Deontay has defeated Dominic Breazeale (20-1, KOS 18) in his 1st round. He stopped Luis Ortiz (31-2, 26KOS) during the 7th round.
