Indian Boxing sensation and undefeated professional boxer Faizan Anwar is all set to fight Pakistan’s Yameen Khan on February 26 in Dubai. The fight card is an India vs Pakistan fight card promoted by Grassroot Boxing Promotion under the promoter Mujtaba Kamal.
This will be the first fight of 2022 for Faizan Anwar. The Indian boxer is currently based in Dubai and has been training there for the last couple of years. He also has an undefeated record of 10-0 and four of his wins have come inside the distance. Faizan Anwar last stepped inside the ring back in November where he took on Ukraine’s Viktor Plotnikov at the Motospace Dubai Investment Park in Dubai. This was supposed to be a tough outing for Faizan, considering the fact that the Ukrainian was a veteran of 46 professional fights. However, Faizan showed composure throughout the fight and defeated Viktor via unanimous decision.
Faizan Anwar vs Yameen Khan: India vs Pakistan clash
This fight won’t be like Faizan’s previous fights. He will be taking on Pakistan’s Yameen Khan. While the Abottabad based boxer has a modest boxing record of 3-2-2 (Wins-Loss-Draw), the intense rivalry between the two nations is bound to raise some tension and pressure on Faizan Anwar. With that being said, Faizan is a high-level operator and he should have no problem in dealing with Yameen Khan.
Yameen Khan has never fought out of Pakistan and his last fight took place at the Qayyum Sports Complex in Peshawar against Haroon Khan. In that fight, Yameen was able to defeat him via TKO in Round 3.
Prior to that, he was on a two-fight losing skid having lost to debutant Salman Mirza via split decision. Before that, he was on the wrong side of the judges’ decision against Muhammad Salim Naseri.
