Dana White has announced three fights for the highly anticipated UFC 300, but the fans are left unamused.

Being the next centennial event in the UFC event chronology, UFC 300 has been one of the hot topics among the mixed martial arts fans. Taking place in April 13, the event had been speculated to feature some of the most anticipated matches in recent UFC history- from Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic, to marking the return of Conor McGregor, UFC 300 had a long list of potential fights that excite the fans.

And with the UFC president making the announcement this Thursday night, the MMA fandom expected that something “historic” was coming. However, the announcements have apparently left them wanting more.

What are the two fights announced for UFC 300?

White announced three fights for UFC 300.

One is the featherweight debut of former bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, taking on Calvin Kattar. The other is a contest between the former Light Heavyweight champ Jiri Prochazka, coming off a loss against the reigning champion Alex Pereira in November, taking on Aleksandar Rakic. The final announcement is a middleweight bout between the division’s prospect Bo Nickal and Cody Brundage.

However, the fans of the sport were appalled to see the lack of fights that they hoped to see happen at the third centennial event of the promotion, and they flooded X.com to express their dissatisfaction over the announcements.

Below here are some of the responses of the fans, including some witty and sarcastic ones:
