Former UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 which took place at the Rogers Arena in Edmonton, Canada last Sunday.

The fight was an entertaining one and even though Cyborg dominated the fight, Spencer had her moments. It was Spencer’s first loss of her professional career.

Spencer, however, wasn’t upset about her loss to Cris Cyborg and in a recent interview with MMA Fighting, she said that she was happy that she didn’t get finished by Cyborg. Throughout Cyborg’s professional career, only four fighters have gone the distance with her.

I am happy that I wasn’t finished,” Spencer said. “I just kept coming and I felt pretty good about the first round, it was a good feeling honestly going into the second round, I really thought I could push forward with it. And just knowing that feeling I had going into the second round, I really felt like I really, really could win and could find a way to make it happen.

Just knowing how I felt in that moment gives me a lot of hope and inspiration for the future. I really know I can do it, I can become the champion.” (H/T – MMAFighting.com)
