According to reports, the UFC has cut ties with five additional athletes, including Jalin Turner and Armen Petrosyan.
If there is one thing we are certain of, it is that the Ultimate Fighting Championship has a high turnover rate. Some of the world’s best fighters practice there, and while many of the UFC’s well-known figures will remain there for many years to come, others aren’t quite as fortunate. The fact that there are already so many names on the list is one of the straightforward explanations for this.
Whether it be through a consistent stream of losses, retirement or just falling out with the company, there are UFC fighters who have been and gone without anyone even batting an eyelid. On the flip side, you’ve got those who have been around for a long time, only to one day find themselves on the outside looking in.
As per UFC Roster Watch, we now have the names of five fighters who are reportedly no longer under contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Among the five UFC fighters released is Armen Petrosyan. Petrosyan has been discharged after suffering three straight losses, including a double backfist loss against Shara Magomedov.
Marcos Rogerio de Lima: The 39-year-old defeated Junior Tafa via TKO last year and has won three of his past four fights. Unfortunately, a drug violation later led to his suspension.
Jalin Turner: Turner announced his retirement from mixed martial arts following his most recent failure inside the cage.
Yul Kim: The UFC opted to sever connections with her after her sole scheduled fight with the organization failed due to alleged contract concerns.
Montana De La Rosa – After a botched weight cut earlier this month ahead of her proposed fight with Luana Carolina, De La Rosa was cut.
